So what’s the difference between what you provide and what I’d get at Lowe’s or Home Depot?
1. CUSTOM CABINETRY MEANS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR YOUR SPACE.
We get asked this question a lot!
Big Box Stores advertise “custom” cabinetry and make some hefty promises, but it’s important to know what you’re really getting. So how is Sullivan’s “custom” different? For starters, we build your cabinetry specifically to fit your space. If you need a 37 3/8” cabinet, that’s what we build. Many manufacturers build in 3” increments, which means they build a 36” cabinet and provide a filler for the remaining space. With multiple fillers over the entire space of your kitchen, you could lose quite a bit of storage!
That’s not to say we don’t use fillers as they certainly have their place within a design however, we try to use fillers for functionality purposes. For example - sometimes fillers are needed to create space for a door or drawer to function properly next to a wall or other obstacle.
Bottom line: We're not only expert cabinetmakers, we are experienced professional cabinet designers. And we've been doing it for over 40 years!
2. OUR STANDARD FEATURES RAISE THE BAR.
Our quality and construction methods are the same regardless of the scope of a project - we don't cut corners or use cheaper materials just because a project is smaller in nature. We use only top-of-the-line, all construction materials and our construction methods are well above what is "required."
We only use Blum hinges & drawer guides, which have a manufacturer's warranty.
All our drawer guides are full extension guides meaning the drawer pulls all the way out rather than leaving you reaching for the back of the drawer.
Soft-close hinges & drawer guides are our standard, so no more slamming doors & drawers!
At Sullivan's, we offer a large variety of moldings for crown, base, shelving, applied molding, etc. as well as custom molding when needed. We also adjust all of our cabinetry onsite once they have been installed to insure proper function and fit.

3. NO LIMITS TO COLORS OR STAINS.
Sullivan’s is one of the few local cabinet makers that offers both unfinished and in-house, custom pre-finishing options. You’re not limited to a color palette for stains or paint colors. We can create a custom stain or match whatever color you desire. Want to match your grandmother’s antique hutch or perhaps want to go with a bold, modern paint choice? No problem, we've done it all!
We also offer unfinished cabinets if you'd prefer to have your builder or painter handle the finishing.
